World: Barley crop forecast slightly up in latest RMI Analytics report
Global barley crop 2022 forecast is slightly up to 146.6 mln tonnes (+0.3 mln tonnes vs. the previous report), driven by improved Russia, Canada, and Australia crops, offset by a lower Ukraine outcome, RMI Analytics said in their late July report.
As barley harvest advances across Europe, the quality and yield outcomes have been good. As a result, there is a growing confidence in a suitable supply of quality malting barley becoming available.
